Traditional Charcoal Roasting:
This Tieguanyin is processed using the most traditional and skill-demanding method: slow baking over charcoal fire. Compared to electric roasting, charcoal provides a gentler, more penetrating heat that reaches the core of the tea leaves, unlocking deep nuances and imparting a unique "charcoal aroma" and a pleasurably warm texture to the tea soup—an essence that modern techniques cannot replicate.
Aged for Depth and Smoothness:
"Aged" signifies that after expert charcoal roasting, this tea has undergone a period of maturation. This process allows the initial "fire energy" to subside, making the tea's character extremely mild, with a richer, smoother, and softer taste. The astringency is minimized, making it very stomach-friendly.
Intense and Complex Aroma:
True to its "Intense-aroma" name, the dry leaves emit a robust fragrance of roasted rice, caramel sweetness, and a distinctive roasted note. Upon brewing, the aroma is powerful and impactful.
